- Unity check output
- Transparent formulas according to Eurocode 3
Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Profile name | Here you choose the profile |
| Column length L | Length of the column |
| Buckling length about the y-axis Lcr,y | Buckling length about the y-axis |
| Buckling length about the z-axis Lcr,z | Buckling length about the z-axis |
| Unrestrained length Lcr | Largest unrestrained length with respect to lateral torsional buckling stability |
| Buckling mode | Non-sway nodes / Sway nodes. Here you choose the type of frame the column is part of. This determines the equivalent moment distribution factors Cmy and Cmz according to NEN-EN 1993-1-1 Table B.3, Equivalent moment distribution factors Cm in tables B.1 and B.2 |
Forces and moments

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| NEd | Design value of the axial force |
| MyA,Ed | Design value of the bending moment at the bottom of the column |
| MyB,Ed | Design value of the bending moment at the top of the column |
| qz,Ed | Design value of the (equivalent) transverse load on the column |
| z | The point of application of the transverse load qz,Ed, in mm in the z-direction relative to the reference line. The reference line is configurable: relative to top, to centroid, or to bottom. This distance is only relevant for the lateral torsional buckling check (the factor C2) |
Enter the moments and the transverse load with the correct sign. These values are used for, among other things, the lateral torsional buckling calculation.
